Evakuēti 6000 iedzīvotāji un ar militāro helikopteru palīdzību tiek mesti maisi ar smiltīm, lai nostiprinātu izskalojuma vietu.

Whaley Bridge is almost deserted tonight after the town was evacuated due to fears floodwater could overtop the damaged dam at Toddbrook Reservoir.
